Events

Musical Roots is a full service musical events production business located in central North Carolina. Services include overall festival management, contracting with performers, marketing and onsite logistics. Gerry Williams has been in the music business for over 25 years.

Gerry can plan and run musical events from a evening event with one band to a festival with hundreds of bands. He is a founder and festival coordinator of the Carrboro Music Festival in Carrboro, NC, which has 21 venues and over 150 bands. He also has many years of experience as a vinyl record dealer with stores in Washington DC (Orpheus Records) and Roots CDs & Vinyl in Carrboro, NC.

Although, Roots closed its doors in 2000, Gerry stills sells vinyl records and CDs through Amazon. Click here for Gerry's storefront.

Other Service

Gerry's wife, Janet Place, is a professional musician with an equal number of years in the music business. She handles event publicity and graphic design.
